The government called it "The
List of Changes in British War Material In Relation
To Edged Weapons, Firearms, and Associated Ammunition
and Accoutrements". Starting in
1860, the "List of Changes" (or LoC.'s),
was published monthly by the War Office and distributed
throughout the Empire as part of the Army
Circulars. The
LoC allowed everyone to keep abreast of the latest
approved changes in equipment, from Admiral's chamber
pots to the proper method of stamping screws in place.
There are always pages
under construction here at Enfield-Stuff. This
is our own The List of Changes - a
list of what has been added, moved or improved on since
your last visit. This page is the quickest way to see
what's new since your last visit. |

| ERRATA: Don
Klancher (Kamloops, British Columbia,
Canada), gently and politely took me to task for describing
Canada's Northwest Territories (NWT:
French, les Territoires du Nord-Ouest) as
a province. Along the way I discovered that he
is the author of Arms & Accoutrements of
the Mounted Police 1873-1973. It was
bad enough making a mistake about geography, but then Jason
McInnis (Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada)
pointed out that I had gotten some things mixed up
on the history of Canada's Red Ensign and Blue Ensigns,
those flags in use before the Maple Leaf was officially
adopted in 1965. Both of the errors were on the Government
Marks page. And have been fixed, with many
thanks, to Don and Jason. |
