Rifle 232
Rifle No. 4 Mk I*. Savage, 1943. Very pretty Savage marked US Property. Matched serial numbers on bolt, reciever, magazine and forestock. I am entrigued by the five-pointed star stamped on both the receiver and the wrist. Indonesia is a possibility. A great many Lean-Lease rifles were shipped to the Russia during WWII, but I rather doubt that this is one of them. (Although I can always hope...)
