SMLE "Smiling Pussycat" Siamese Mk III*. All matched!  This came out of a pile of Indian SMLE's. Thus I suspect that it was appropriated by the Indian Army during their occupation of Thailand in 1945-46. This one is exceptionally pretty and in rather pristine shape. No import marks either.
