REGIMENTAL ENFIELDS
Virtually every Enfield rifle in use between 1903 and 1915 was stamped with a unique mark that indicated the regiment the rifle belonged to. The practice was briefly suspended during WWI, resumed at the war's end, then gradually fell out of favor until the practice disappeared in the 1950's.  This page is where we collect regimentally marked Enfield rifles and examine the what we know of the rifle, the regiment, and what was going on in the world at the time that the rifle was issued to that regiment.  Rifles slowly migrate from the Enfield Queue to this page as our research progresses.  First up: a Mk III* marked to the King's African Rifles (1918).

ENFIELDS IN QUEUE
This is both our backroom storage area and a preview of the rifles that will end up on display somewhere.  This is where we house Enfields that need additional research (as well as cleaning). organized by country and regiment. This page is always in transition as rifles are added or moved from the Queue.

ENFIELDS ABROAD
Descriptions and data about Enfields in use by foreign countries, including some information about P14 Enfields in Latvia.  Intended for the non-regimental Enfields, such as the WWII Lend-Lease rifles and well as Enfields in foreign service such as Thailand, Iraq and Portugal.

ENFIELD SMALLBORE TRAINERS
A capsule summary of the various Enfield smallbore (.22 rimfire) rifles that evolved from the SMLE, starting in 1912, as well as a look at the smallbore trainers of the Rifle No.4 family, 1944 - 1960's.
